About the region
The region is a member of the European Union (EU) Commission Health Policy Forum and has collaborated with the European Commission on the recognition of professional qualifications, the service directive, patient mobility, healthcare developments and internal market information. It has conducted two projects under the EU Commission Community Action Programme.
The region has recently held congresses and workshops on education, common platforms to help physical therapists migrate in the EU and clinical guidelines. It has also developed a range of documents, including core standards of practice, an auditing tool, and physiotherapy service standards.
Coming up
The region's 9th General Meeting will be in Copenhagen, Denmark on 8-10 May 2014.
