From the Secretary General and President
The Executive Committee met during April to discuss WCPT’s ongoing policy and project work. This included work on a model practice act, guidelines for review of the accreditation of PT professional entry-level education programmes and a draft policy on landmines. All will be sent to member organisations for comment shortly.
A small celebration was held during the meeting to mark the occasion of the new WCPT website going live. The WCPT secretariat and executive committee are excited about the start of this new venture. It will enable us to offer greater opportunities for the worldwide exchange of information within the physical therapy profession and to develop initiatives such as a database of experts and to collect a broader range of data on the profession around the world.
If you would like to use all or part of this e-letter for your own newsletters/websites then please feel free. We need your assistance to reach the profession around the world, so please send this e-update to your members.
Kind regards,
Brenda J Myers and Marilyn Moffat
