Biography
Janice Mueller MBA (Dist) ADP (Paediatrics) MNZCP Auckland City Hospital Janice is currently the Director of Allied Health, Scientific & Technical for New Zealand's largest District Health Board (DHB) based in central Auckland. This is one of three clinical roles that partners and advises the Chief Executive, working within the integrated governance framework across the healthcare system. The role provides professional leadership and assurance for all of these professions within the organisation's Clinical Quality and Professional Governance framework. Janice has chaired the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy since 2004. In her current role at Auckland DHB, she has been instrumental in achieving executive recognition of the Allied Health Professions and has ensured that their voice is heard Nationally, representing the professions on the National Workforce Group and the National Quality Improvement Committee. Janice is active within the physiotherapy profession and has written numerous papers in her role as Chair of the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy. Janice co-chairs the Physiotherapy Specialist Working Party working towards the regulation of Physiotherapy Specialists in New Zealand. Janice has published and presented Nationally and Internationally on a range of topics, including professional supervision, Clinical Governance and leadership for Allied Health Professions and project management.
