Biography
Patty Solomon, PhD is a Professor in the Physiotherapy Program in the School of Rehabilitation Science, and Director of the Program for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research at McMaster University in Canada. She has consulted internationally and written widely in the area of education, curriculum development and problem-based learning. In addition she conducts research on HIV and disability and has received funding to support qualitative research in this area. She is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications and 100 peer reviewed presentations and has received in excess of 3 million dollars to support her research initiatives. In 2009 she was the Enid Graham Memorial Lecturer, the highest honour bestowed upon a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is on the editorial board of Physical Therapy where she brings her expertise on qualitative methods to the board.
