Biography

Julie Walsh is a Clinical Research Fellow (Health Research Board) with the Discipline of Physiotherapy, School of Medicine Trinity College Dublin. Julie graduated with a BSc (Physiotherapy) and an MSc. (Exercise Physiology) from Trinity College Dublin and has previously worked as a lecturer, tutor and has also worked for a number of years as a physiotherapist in clinical practice. Her doctoral research focuses on the novel methods of measuring physical activity in patients with cancer and the role of exercise interventions. She is currently planning a clinical trial investigating the role of an aerobic exercise intervention in a heterogeneous cancer survivor population. Her other previous areas of research have been in the areas of cardiac rehabilitation and clinical education.
