Biography
Dr. Dallmeijer is a human movement scientist, who is working as a senior researcher at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For several years she has been studying rehabilitation outcome, training and fitness in of wheelchair dependent individuals with a spinal cord injury. Her current research interests are physical activity, fitness and training, in relation to physical functioning in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Besides that, she has a special interest in clinimetrics of outcome measures in rehabilitation. She is supervising a number of PhD and post doctoral projects in children with CP, including a strength training study, a physical activity stimulation program, and prospective studies on the course of functioning in different age cohorts.
