Biography

Mr. Hampanna is a certified disability professional with two decades of experience in grassroots community rehabilitation. He is presently the Assistant Director for Disability Programming in Samuha Smarathya Koppal, India. This community based rehabilitation programme serves a community of 5782 people with disabilities. He has varied experience as a senior trainer, academician and programme evaluator. Within his role at Samuha he has worked to accommodate student educational initiatives within community rehabilitation services. Mr. Hampana is a member of various local and Government of India instituted committees to address advocacy issues and policy change. He is a recognized leader within the network of disability professionals and institutions at local, state and national levels. He has attended several conferences and presented on topics relating to disability and community engagement projects within local and regional forums.
