If you need expert advice ...

People or organisations can apply to WCPT to locate physical therapists who can assist on projects within their areas of specialty. WCPT’s database of experts contains details of physical therapists who are members of a WCPT member organisation, and have indicated they are willing to support the development of the profession by donating their knowledge and expertise – in professional practice, professional issues, education, policy, research or global health.

Included in the database of experts are people who have extensive experience across the whole scope of the profession as well as physical therapists who have additional expertise in areas outside the profession such as the law, information, business or human resource management. This ensures the availability of expertise in professional regulation, management and service delivery (such as in community based rehabilitation or disaster management situations). The expertise of WCPT member organisations is represented through the registration of individual members.

The information these experts provide is used to link them to people or organisations according to the information provided in their expertise request form.

The expertise request form

If you wish to apply for expert help, please download and complete the expertise request form. Data will not be passed on or sold to any other organisation.

Please email the completed form to info@wcpt.org or post to:

World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT)
Victoria Charity Centre
11 Belgrave Road
London
SW1V 1RB

On receipt of this form the WCPT secretariat will search the database of physical therapy experts and select people whose stated expertise matches with the requirements stated on this form. Email contact details will be provided to both parties. The expertise of WCPT member organisations is represented through the registration of individual staff members.

It is the responsibility of both parties to establish that the requirements can be met and are agreed. Any financial arrangements are the responsibility of the two parties. The seeker of expertise should verify the expertise of the expert by verifying qualifications and approaching the respective authorities, as necessary.

WCPT serves as the facilitator in getting people together but takes no responsibility for the collaboration. WCPT reserves the right to remove a registrant from the database without notice and to decline inappropriate requests for expert advice.
