The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) believes that the provision of effective quality care while respecting the rights of the patient/client shall be the primary consideration of every physical therapist.

Physical therapists must familiarise themselves with the standards for high risk infectious diseases adopted by the facility in which they practice and the standards recommended by their respective local and national health departments.
