The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) believes that physical therapists have the responsibility, through their national associations, to work with governments and other agencies, to contribute to national human resource (workforce) planning.  Such planning should aim to ensure a balance between demand and supply for physical therapists and a balance between qualified physical therapists and support personnel, to facilitate the best possible level of quality service/care for the community.
