Programme checklists
The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) aims to
empower health and social care professionals and users of the NHS in the UK
to distinguish between, and to use, good quality evidence to support decisions.
The programme involves disseminating and cascading knowledge and skills in the
area of EBP and endeavours to make learning in this field more accessible -
ultimately improving the quality of health and social care service. CASP has
developed appraisal tools for systematic
reviews, randomised
controlled trials, qualitative
research studies, cohort studies,
case-control studies,
diagnostic
test studies and economic evaluation studies.
AGREE instrument
