What is the satellite programme?
The satellite programme was a new and innovative part of the WCPT congress experience. A range of education sessions and clinical visits were offered to complement the scientific programme, with a focus on applied knowledge and skills. This gave delegates the chance to listen to the latest research and practice advances while gaining practical experience. The satellite programme was designed to enable delegates to make up their own package of high quality and diverse offerings that matched their area of interest and enhanced the experience of attending the main congress.
What are education sessions?
Education sessions were open to delegates who registered to attend at least one day of the main congress and carried a separate fee. Sessions were designed to actively engage participants, via a range of learning formats, to explore issues in depth in an area of clinical practice, education, management, research or policy.
What are clinical visits?
Clinical visits were an optional element open to full congress registrants. A number of public and private physical therapy service providers opened their doors for congress delegates to learn about practice in the host country.
