The Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre (WCRC) provides specialised, high-intensity rehabilitation and community-reintegration programmes for persons with physical disabilities. The focus is outcome-based (ICF frame work) and the promotion of functional independence.
The visit to WCRC will entail a 30-40min Power point presentation on WCRC- the background, admission criteria and services rendered. The group will be divided into 2 for a tour of the facilities. The walk-about will include: therapy areas, Health and Wellness Centre and aquatic pool, wheelchair obstacle course, wheelchair store and wheelchair repair area.
