Isabel Baert is a post-doctoral senior researcher at the Department Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy, University of Antwerp, with a lot of experience with studies in the field of osteoarthritis and chronic pain (13 A1 publications in the last 5 years, 5 as first author) and subsequent a wide network. In 2013, she obtained a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy, KU Leuven, Belgium. Her work focused on the evaluation of functional parameters in patients with early and established knee osteoarthritis. Currently, her research mainly focuses on functional evaluation in patients with osteoarthritis before and after a total joint replacement and on the role of altered nociceptive processing in patients with osteoarthritis. She frequently gives lectures and courses at national and international level.
