Nancy Wanyonyi is a Physiotherapy Lecturer at Moi University, Eldoret Kenya since February, 2013. She trained as a Physiotherapist at a diploma level in Kenya and worked in private hospitals for 6 years with her practice majorly in the outpatient department. She then proceeded to the University of the Western Cape, South Africa for her BSc Honours and MSc in Physiotherapy, 2012. Her Master’s thesis focused on the effect of a knowledge-based ergonomic intervention on administrators with work-related low back pain and neck pain. The outcome of this study led her to develop a keen interest in Occupational health. Nancy now focuses on ‘Development of standards for undergraduate occupational health in a Physiotherapy curriculum in Kenya’ as her on-going PhD Study. She has a passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy and leads the teaching of Occupational Health and the students’ industrial placement. She has published work from her Master’s thesis and is currently working on a publication of a Systematic Review of the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in Africa which she presented as a poster at WCPT congress- 2015, Singapore. Nancy has been involved in one workshop teaching ergonomics for office workers in Kenya.
