Jennifer M. Bottomley, PhD, MS, PT has a bachelor degree in PT from University of Wisconsin, Madison, an advanced masters degree in PT from MGH Institute of Health Professionals in Boston, MA.  She has a doctoral degree in Gerontology (U Massachusetts) & Health Science; Service Administration (Union Institute) and a second PhD from The Union Institute in Health Service, Legislation, Policy Management in Gerontology. Dr. Bottomley has practiced since 1974 in all settings. Currently, she is academic and clinical educator in Geriatric Physical Therapy Internationally and throughout the US. An Associate Professor at Simmons College in PT &  Adjunct Professor at MGH Institute - Boston. She practices in Boston homeless shelters coordinating rehabilitation services for the Committee to End Elder Homelessness/HEARTH. Jennifer serves as the current President for International PhysioTherapists working with Older People (IPTOP), of WCPT. She serves on an interdisciplinary AARP panel addressing Elder Isolation – Identification & Interventions. She"s been recognized by many awards: The Lucy Blair Service Award from the APTA, has given the Maley lecture and The Distinguished Alumni awards at MGH and U Wisconsin. She received an International Service award from WCPT in 2015. She is the co-author of Geriatric Rehabilitation: A Clinical Approach.
