
Lindsay Wallace has been in practice for over 40 years. She is primarily a clinician, working in the field of women’s health in her private practice in Cape Town. she has lectured the women's health modules in the under graduate programme at the University of Cape Town.
Lindsay has been very involved in the Women’s Health Physiotherapy Group in South Africa, being chairperson of the General Executive Committee for four years. During this time she was instrumental in establishing the first accredited 110 hour level 2 post basic course in Women’s Health Physiotherapy. She serves on the course development committee and represents the group on a National Physiotherapy Educators Forum. She also represented the South Africa on the IOPTWH.
Lindsay has attended international congresses and courses and has a great interest in breast cancer and healthy aging with particular focus on bone health. She has presented on bone health at congresses and courses in South Africa. She is a member of the South African Menopause Society and the South African Uro-gynaecology Association.
In her practice Lindsay treats pelvic floor dysfunction and post mastectomy rehabilitation. She works in the Female Continence Clinic at Groote Schuur, the local state hospital weekly.
