An Assistant Professor and consultant in physical therapy at King Saud University (KSU), and Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Sydney, Australia.  Obtained her MSc. from Queen’s University in Canada, followed by PhD from King’s College London in UK. For over 25 years, she has been involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at KSU. Her research interests and publications are mainly in self-management of chronic conditions, physical activity assessment and promotion, and cultural adaptation of disability assessment. Professionally, she has been active in the development of the profession, through her involvement in the Saudi Physical Therapy Association, as the former board member for three terms, and the elected president between 2008 and 2011. She is also a founding member of the Saudi Physical Therapists in Women’s Health, and active in supporting women’s health nationally and internationally. She is one of the women leaders in higher education in Saudi Arabia through her various senior managerial posts as the former vice-dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and the former dean of Nursing College in PNU. She has participated in many international and national conferences, and presented number of awareness talks for the local community.
