
Charlotte Häger (Sweden) is a professor in physiotherapy at the Dept of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation, Umeå University, in the North of Sweden. Her expertise lies in the field of neurology and musculoskeletal disorders and her PhD was in neurophysiology in 1995. She is the founder and head of the U-motion laboratory, and she has a clinical affiliation to the Orthopaedic Clinic of Umeå University Hospital. Her research deals with sensorimotor control mechanisms and movement control in various conditions. Charlotte has international research collaboration with partners around the world and she has been awarded for her research by the Queen Silvia of Sweden and also received teaching and research awards at Umeå University, and her work is supported by the Swedish Research Council. Charlotte has further participated in every WCPT Congress since 1991 and was a member of the International Scientific Committee for the WCPT congress in Singapore 2015 as well as for the ISC for Cape Town in 2017. She has extensive experience of organizing national and international congresses.
