Dr. Wideman is an assistant professor at McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and an experienced physical therapist. The overarching goal of Dr. Wideman’s research program is to improve the lives of people living with pain. His work focuses on developing new tools and strategies to better understand and manage pain-related disability and on using qualitative and mixed-methodologies to better characterize and understand the subjective pain experience. His work has been presented in the leading journals and meetings in fields of pain and rehabilitation. He has received research funding from the Quebec Pain Research Network, the Louise and Alan Edwards Foundation and the Richard and Edith Strauss Foundation.
