Bio
Janine is a leader and an experienced teacher and researcher in evidence-based practice (EBP) in medicine and allied health in the Philippines and have engaged in international (Australia, Hong Kong, Italy and South Africa) teaching and research in this area over the last ten years. She is a physiotherapist by training and obtained her degree in 1997 from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Philippines. She completed her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003 under a collaborative Masters program between UST and the University of South Australia, with a full scholarship from UST. She completed her PhD in Research in 2012 at the University of South Australia with a President’s Scholarship and  her post-doctoral fellowship at the Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Janine’s area is in evidence-based healthcare and quality improvement in healthcare. Her skills and experience in EBP have advanced her work in applying EBP concepts in the area of clinical practice guidelines (CPG). She has been involved in clinical practice guideline development and guideline methods in the Philippines, Australia and South Africa. She has 35 peer-reviewed research, 1 book chapter and 1 testing manual published. Twenty nine (83%) of her publications relate to EBP and CPGs.
