Harwood, Kenneth

Dr. Harwood is the Director of Health Care Quality Program and the Director of Research for the Program in Physical Therapy at George Washington University. Dr. Harwood has held academic positions at Columbia University, New York University and SUNY, Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn. Dr. Harwood earned his BS in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center and his MS and PhD degrees from New York University’s Biomechanics and Ergonomics Program. His recent publications include a guideline on integrating policy into professional level PT education, advocacy and evidence-based practice methods for safe patient handling and is presently funded by the US Veterans Administration and the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
