The volunteers gather as congress gets underway

Introducing... our volunteers!

You'll see them everywhere, and they're instantly recognisable by their red t-shirts. They're the WCPT Congress 2015 volunteers, and there are an amazing 244 of them.

Our volunteers are here to guide you to the right place, answer your questions, help with registration and generally help you whenever they can. They come from 13 countries, and it's more than likely you'll find one who speaks your native language.

They speak Arabic, Bulgarian, Burmese, Cantonese, Chinese, Dutch, Filipino, French, German, Gujrati, Hindi-Urdu, Hokkein, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Malay, Mandarin, Marathi, Portugese, Punjabi and Marathi, Shanghainese, Sign language, Sinhala, Spanish, Taiwanese, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Teochow, Singlish and Vietnamese. And English.

"They have been really responsive, friendly and keen - a really fun group to work with," says Sherri Corrie, the congress volunteer co-ordinator. "Many of them are from Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore which has been extremely helpful in organising the 190 plus students involved."
