WHO calls for organisations to share rehabilitation competency frameworks

The World Health Organization (WHO) Rehabilitation Programme is calling for organisations, associations and institutions to share their rehabilitation-related competency frameworks. The shared competency frameworks will help WHO develop resources to support countries seeking to strengthen their human resources for rehabilitation.

Competency frameworks generally define the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours required to perform a specific role or deliver certain interventions. WHO is seeking any rehabilitation-related competency frameworks, which can be cross-cutting or discipline-, health condition-, or setting-specific. WHO is interested in receiving both local (eg specific to a health facility or cadre) and international competency frameworks. WHO also welcomes competency standards and similar competency-related works.

The deadline for sharing competency frameworks is 30th September 2018.

Any queries about the project or completed competency frameworks should be sent to [email protected]
