The third World Health Professions Regulation Conference took place in Geneva, Switzerland on 17-18 May 2014 and provided participants with insights, perspectives and discussion on current challenges in health professional regulation.
Key speakers explored the lessons learned from competence-based approaches to regulation, compare regulatory models and examine ways of promoting best practice in regulatory governance and performance.
The World Health Professions Alliance and the World Confederation for Physical Therapy held the second World Health Professions Conference on Regulation (WHPCR) in Geneva, Switzerland on 18-19 February 2010. The aim of the WHPCR 2010 was to shape the future of health profession regulation within the context of the redesign of global health systems and evolving roles, always keeping in mind that public protection is the primary objective of health professional regulation.
