The Physiotherapy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine Udayana University, Bali celebrated World Physical Therapy Day 2015 under the theme “Keep Active to be Balance with Physical Therapy”.

A series of events was held, started by Charity Art whereby donated goods were sold with the funds donated to Yayasan Peduli Autisme Bali (Bali Autism Caring Foundation).

The subsequent event was a drawing and colouring competition for a kindergarten and elementary School in Denpasar which took place in the physiotherapy building at the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University.

The next event was a Long March on August 2105 30th, which took place at the Niti Mandala Renon square. Udayana Physiotherapists provided free health service for the public, including general check-ups, assessment, physiotherapy intervention and education. This event ended by Senam Jantung Sehat, a gymnastic for healthy Heart. This event was held in collaboration with Yayasan Jantung Sehat Bali (Bali Healthy Heart Foundation).

On 5th September 2015, a health seminar took place under the theme Brain Gym and Therapy for Reducing Fatigue. A talk about careers in physiotherapy and the profession in Bali and Indonesia was also held. Next day, on 6th of September 2015, was held a Final of Physiotherapy Scientific Competition for Senior High-School level.

The peak of the events to celebrate World Physical Therapy Day was held on 13th September 2015 and took place at the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University to which all physiotherapy students and physiotherapists in Bali were invited. Throughout the evening many amazing attractions were performed by physiotherapy students, such as traditional dance, modern dance, contemporary, opera, and some group bands, and also slicing of a “Tumpeng” (tradition in Indonesia). The event was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Head of Physiotherapy Study Program, and also special invited persons.
