Several physical therapy institutions and departments carried out numerous events around the country to celebrate World Physical Therapy Day 2015. Most of the activities centred around this year’s “Fulfilling potential” message.

Activities included:

  • awareness rallies
  • blood donation campaign
  • field visits
  • fitness classes
  • educational programmes promoting this year’s “Fulfilling potential” theme and the role physical therapists play
  • poster and art competitions
  • a survey was carried out to understand the knowledge that other medical staff, patients and the general public have about physical therapy
  • presentations about the role of WCPT as the global body for the profession
  • poster displays to develop awareness of the profession
  • World Physical Therapy Day banners and t-shirts were produced to highlight the day
  • a physical therapy quiz
