The Guyana Physiotherapy Association celebrated World Physical Therapy Day at the National Sports Clinic with approximately 45 members of a stroke survivors’ group. The group was taken outdoors, where the association President, Ms. Ariane Mangar, spoke on the importance of being physically active as the theme for World Physical Therapy Day.
Later the physical therapists led the group through some simple exercise along with music. Members of the group shared information on their current activity levels in comparison to their pre-stroke conditions. Afterwards, light refreshments were served to all those who attended the fun-filled activity.
