South American educators meeting
The Third Latin American Conference of Professors for Physiotherapy and Kinesiology took place over two days in August 2010 in Santiago, Chile. This academic conference is the main event of the Latin American Center for the Development of Physiotherapy and Kinesiology (CLADEFK) and was hosted by the Chilean Schools Association of Kinesiology (ACKUCH). It attracted more than 130 physical therapy professors and researchers from universities in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The main purpose was identifying goals and common strategies for the region based around WCPT’s new guideline for a standard evaluation process for accreditation/recognition of physical therapist professional entry level and post graduate education programmes.
