Papers for the 17th General Meeting of WCPT have now been made available to delegates. On the agenda are revisions and additions to WCPT policy statements and guidelines, motions submitted by member organisations, applications for WCPT memberships and the election of a new Executive Committee.
The papers are available on the WCPT website, but only to official delegates who will represent their member organisations at the General Meeting. “The papers are essential to full participation in the General Meeting,” says WCPT Secretary General Brenda Myers. “We strongly encourage delegates to download and print these papers prior to the meeting.” Background information on the papers can also be found on the General Meeting section of the website (www.wcpt.org/node/36872).
WCPT’s existing policy papers and guidelines, some of which were originally written nearly 20 years ago, have been edited and brought up to date, and will be considered at the meeting. The papers have been reorganised into more logical categories, given the growth in the number of policy documents. Several new policy statements and guidelines have also been prepared over the past three years, and will be put before the General Meeting for approval. One of the new policy papers is on the occupational health of physical therapists. A draft is available to view and comment on at www.wcpt.org/node/37124
