World Physical Therapy Day 2012 - Macau

The Macau Physical Therapist Association (MPTA) started off this year’s World Physical Therapy Day with a scoliosis screening for school-aged children from junior and senior high school.  This was followed by two lectures on youngsters’ health issues (childhood obesity, scoliosis), as well as a Fit Ball exercise workshop, a postural correction booth and a presentation on the current development of the physical therapy profession in Macau.  A total of approximately 100 participants were involved.

This is the first time MPTA has held a scoliosis screening and on-site exercise workshop as part of its World Physical Therapy Day activities, with both being well received.
