Mandy Trickett MSc MCSP
Scottish Representative for the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Oncology and Palliative Care.
Mandy qualified in Edinburgh in 1990 and specialises in cancer rehabilitation and MSK conditions. She has worked throughout the UK and New Zealand in the NHS, private practice and the Royal Marines.
Her passion for developing cancer rehabilitation began in 2007 as a Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Physiotherapist where she was based for almost 10 years. During this time she developed exercise groups and walking programmes for people with advanced cancer and presented this work nationally at conferences and upon receiving a prestigious NHS Health Scotland PAHA award in 2014. She has written several articles which have been published by Macmillan Cancer Support and has shared her experiences widely on social media through AHP Scot Blog and the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care.
Mandy studied exercise therapy for people with advanced disease and in 2015 was awarded an MSc (Advanced Practice) Palliative Care from Dundee University. Mandy now works for NHS Fife as a Highly Specialist MSK Physiotherapist and continues to develop her skills in cancer care and has a special interest in developing referral pathways for cancer specific MSK conditions.
