Dr Kate Scrivener is a physiotherapy educator, clinician and researcher. She completed her PhD in 2013 investigating dosage of practice and walking outcomes after stroke. Kate has more than 15 years experience in stroke, brain injury and aged care rehabilitation. Kate is a lecturer in Physiotherapy at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and also works part-time in a private rehabilitation practice. Kate presents workshops with the StrokeEd collaboration and the Australian Physiotherapy Association regularly both in Australia and overseas. Kate has published 10 peer-reviewed journal articles. Her research focuses on measurement and dosage of rehabilitation practice, and strategies to increase practice outside of therapy including technology-supported independent practice, group sessions and weekend semi-supervised practice.
