Tim trained as a physiotherapist in Belgium, qualifying in 1998. He started working in a school for children with special needs. He provided cognitive neuro-motor rehabilitation. After three years he opened his own practice and as a self-employed physiotherapist he collaborates with four family physicians. In 2018 he started his masters by dissertation at WITS University in Johannesburg, South Africa. His topic is physiotherapy policy development in Belgium and South Africa. Currently he works as a teaching assistant at Hasselt University where he will start on his PhD. He is also involved in IPPTA, the only non-clinical WCPT subgroup (www.private.physio). Tim is part of The International Private Physical Therapy Associations executive committee since the General Meeting of 2015 in Singapore. Within the European Regio of the WCPT (erwcpt.eu) he is a member of the EU Matters Working Group. Towards the Belgian professional association, he serves as an international policy advisor.
