Dr. Kjerstin Stigmar is a university teacher at Lund University, Sweden. Kjerstin has developed a one-year education program for rehabilitation coordinators, on the assignment from the health care authority in southern Sweden. This program is currently running under her responsibility. Kjerstin has 25 years of clinical experiences from primary health care and occupational health services. In 2012, she took her PhD and defended the thesis “Work ability- health professionals ‘experiences and rehabilitation outcomes”. After this, she is part of six research programs that in total have received € 1.6 million in research funding. Her attention in research is on work and health, mainly in a primary health care setting. The main focus has been on the RCT “WorkUp”, where physical therapists have included a work place dialogue in the clinical practice. The last five years Kjerstin has published ten peer-reviewed articles. She has presented at different national and international congresses, such as the WCPT in Singapore and Cape Town, The EULAR conference and the EUMASS congress.
