Cristina Frange is a postdoctoral fellowship at Neurology and Neurosurgery Department, Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). PT, earned her PhD degree in Medicine and Biology of Sleep, at the Sleep Division of the Department of Psychobiology, UNIFESP. She is a researcher at Neurology and Neurosurgery Department and at Sleep Division. She studied the relationship between sleep and chronic pain and has publications on the theme. She is interested in the relationship between sleep disorders, specially insomnia, and chronic pain. She also investigates the treatment of sleep disturbances with physiotherapy, and the impact of sleep in rehabilitation. Her current project explores if Global Posture Reeducation could improve motor rehabilitation (functional mobility, ability in daily life activities) and sleep in patients after stroke, and also the impact of sitting on rostral fluid shift and its contribution to obstructive sleep apnea - a very prevalent sleep disorder.
