As an early adopter of the Internet for supporting teaching (1999) Tony has subsequently pursued a career at the intersection between technology and education, working within university's and subsequently setting up a consulting, development and training company in 2007. Through Webducate he developed an innovative e-learning interactive authoring tool as well as offering consulting, training and bespoke development services for a wide variety of organisations including universities, corporate training and international charities.
Based on this experience he helped to establish and continues to manage and support the world's largest and most popular Physiotherapy education related website, Physiopedia (2006). Using Physiopedia and a custom learning platform, Physioplus, he has now been closely involved in delivering a series of seven open online courses (MOOCs) with the aim of improving physiotherapy practice globally with a particular emphasis on meeting the needs of clinicians in low resource settings.
