Capo Chichi, Joseph

Joseph Martial CAPO-CHICHI is a physiotherapist from Benin. He graduated in 2004 and holds a BSc in Physiotherapy, a BSc in Organizational Psychology and a MSc in Health-Environment and Sustainable Development. He works at the centre for Buruli and other skin ulcers in Allada (Benin ) and  is responsible for the prevention and management of disabilities and also the focal point for rehabilitation in the national program for the control of leprosy and Buruli ulcer in Benin.

After graduation, he joined the Beninese Association of Physiotherapists (ABEKIR). Since then, he has held various positions on the board and has been President of the Association (2014-2017), He is currently the Vice-Chair of Africa region of WCPT.

Joseph has been a strong advocate for the integration of francophone African countries in WCPT, and has facilitated the membership adhesion for many of them.

Joseph was a consultant for WCPT in the SUDA Project, a partnership between WCPT and Humanity and Inclusion funded by USAID, which aimed at strengthening PT education and services in three West African Countries (Mali, Niger and Senegal).
