Karthikeyan P Ramalingam is a qualified physiotherapist from India. He worked as a lecturer and clinical supervisor in various colleges in India before taking up the role as lecturer at Divine Word University, Papua New Guinea (PNG) through Volunteer Service Overseas in 2007. He is currently designated as Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Head of Rehabilitation Sciences. He has obtained honours degree from James Cook University, which paved to explore the use of electrophysical agents in developing countries. He and his colleague developed the physiotherapy curriculum to fit the country context. He has sourced various grants to develop and upgrade the physiotherapy education in PNG. His major work is on community and rural settings. He has presented papers in national and international conferences on community based physiotherapy and eLearning. He is a registered physiotherapist with Health and Care Professions Council, UK and as a registered physiotherapist in PNG; he works closely with the PNG Physiotherapy Association as an advisor. He is also nominated with additional responsibility as an education representative for the pacific in rehabilitation.
