Jacqueline Duarte Quitian is an Economist and a Public Health Specialist. She is working with the International Committee of the Red Cross since 2000 and she has more than ten years of experience of the penitentiary system in Colombia. Previously, she worked for the ICRC Detention Program, by monitoring and developing community health projects implemented in coordination with the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute of Colombia. These projects were the following: the National Breast Cancer Screening Program, a project on Sexually Transmitted Infections HIV / AIDS and the training of Health Agents in prisons, among others. In 2010 she participated in the situational analysis of the health system in the penitentiary system based on the evaluation of 35 prisons in the country and in 2013 she participated in the adaptation of the national tuberculosis guideline to the penitentiary system. Since 2007, she is part of the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation team and has been working in providing technical support to the Physical rehabilitation unit of the Ministry of Health, to the Colombian association of orthoprostesists, and to different prosthetic and orthotic and physiotherapy Schools. Since 2014, she is responsible for the physical rehabilitation project being implemented in prisons.
