The Allied Health Professionals Council was established under a parliamentary Act to regulate, supervise and control allied health professionals, and to provide for the establishment of a council to register and licence the allied health professionals and for other related matters. A physiotherapist sits on the council. There is also a board of physiotherapy and occupational therapy that constitutes the eight advisory boards of the council: https://www.ahpc.ug/Requirements.php
