Darren Brown is a clinical physiotherapist specialising in HIV, Oncology and Palliative care at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the largest HIV unit in Europe and national centre for HIV Malignancy. Darren provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation interventions for adults living with HIV and HIV-associated malignancies. He leads the outpatient specialist HIV physiotherapy service and created the “Kobler Rehabilitation Class”, a group rehabilitation intervention for adults living with HIV. Darren is the vice-chair of the UK Rehabilitation in HIV Association (RHIVA), HIV/AIDS coordinator for IPT-HOPE network of WCPT, member of Canada-UK HIV Rehabilitation Research Collaborative (CUHRRC) and teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UK Universities. Darren completed BSc Human Musculoskeletal Science from the University of Bristol in 2005 and MSc Physiotherapy from Kings College London in 2007. His clinical research interest focuses on measuring disability and evaluating physiotherapy interventions for adults living with HIV.
