Pre- and post-congress courses offer a focus on applied knowledge and skills, and are uniquely designed to complement the main scientific programme and offer delegates the chance to:
- explore issues in depth
- gain practical experience
- listen to the latest research and advances in practice
- learn directly from experts via a range of learning formats
- meet fellow delegates in their field of interest
Pre- and post-congress courses are an optional element that are open to delegates who register to attend at least one day of the main congress and they carry a separate fee. A range of half-day, one and two-day courses are being offered on the days preceding congress, 9th - 10th May 2019, and the days following congress, 14th – 15th May 2019.
Language: all courses are delivered in English but a number provide support in different languages, please see individual courses for details.

All course venues will be in central Geneva and will be accessible via public transport.
Registration fees for those from low and lower-middle income member organisations
To enable delegates from low and lower middle-income countries to participate in pre- and post-congress courses, WCPT have reserved at least three spaces on each course that will be available at a reduced fee.
Delegates from a low income country will receive a 50% discount and delegates from a middle-income country will receive a 25% discount on the course fee.
These limited spaces will be offered via a lottery in January 2019 and further information on how to apply will be available shortly.
Please note that some courses may be cancelled in January 2019 if insufficient registrations are received
