Cristine Homsi Jorge Ferreira,PT,completed her Ph.D in 2004, she did a Research Fellowship in 2013 at Mercy´s Hospital for Women´s Health in Melbourne, Australia. She is currently Associate Professor in the Health Sciences Department at Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, Brazil, responsible for the area of Women´s Health Physical Therapy. The focus of her research has been Physical Therapy assessment and interventions related to pelvic floor in different stages of women´s life.
She is an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy (BJPT) in the area of Women´s Health Physical Therapy (2018-2019). Cristine was one of the founders and first President of the Brazilian Association of Physical Therapy in Women's Health (2007-2010) and is currently (2018-2021) Scientific Director of this Association and Chief Delegate Representative of Brazil at the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Women's Health (IOPTWH).
