Dr. Mbada, Chidozie Emmanuel is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is also the Acting Head, Department of Physiotherapy, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria. Dr. Mbada is a Fellow of the African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship, of the African Population and Health Research Centre, Nairobi, Kenya. He was the recipient of the Postgraduate School Award for Publication of Articles from Ph.D Theses in the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2011/2012 session), and the 2nd Prize Winner of the Postgraduate School Award for the Best Ph.D Thesis in the University of Ibadan, 2012. Dr. Mbada is a specialist Orthopaedic, Sports and Recreational Physical Therapist. He has four research grants and many travel grants. Dr. Mbada has over 120 scientific publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. He has made novel contributions in telerehabilitation where alongside his colleagues, have developed and validated a self-treatment mobile App, a cartoon-based treatment App, as well as a virtual reality game for low-back pain rehabilitation. Dr. Mbada is a member of many professional association including the Society for the Study of Pain, Nigeria, Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, and the American Congress for Rehabilitation Medicine.
