Charu Sharma is a physiotherapist from New Delhi, India since March 2011. Completed 3 years of Advanced Diploma in Holistic Health and Fitness in 2006 and Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2011 from GGSIP University, New Delhi. Currently pursuing post-graduation in Global Health from University of Manchester, UK. Worked in various profiles ranging from clinical setting, corporate sector to academics with job roles of fitness trainer, clinical analyst, teacher and clinical physiotherapist. She has been working as a physiotherapist field officer with the ICRC since August 2016 in PRP India. Actively focused on building capacity of physiotherapists in rehabilitation of lower limb amputation and management of children with cerebral palsy at the ICRC supported centres in India. Involved in wheelchair services since 2016 and participated in WHO Wheelchair Service Training Package (WSTP) – Training of Trainers Programme Intermediate level in February 2017. Conducted workshops on wheelchair services and delivered WSTP packages to enhance quality of wheelchair services. Also, been working with persons with disabilities and rehabilitating them to achieve maximum functional independence and promoting social inclusion via sports.
